the ribs and back are now set and looking great
here is my label and it would not be complete without my cat, Roxelle is the name of the cello
now I am ready for the belly
after more thinking it is time to shape the bass bar
a rough pencil line to start carving away
the palm plane gets used a lot and it is great for quick wood removal
after the bulk is removed it is time to switch to the finger plane
now time to record the dimensions
after tuning the bar I have a mode 5 tap tone of C# plus 20 cents
using the finger plane to bevel the lower edge of the plate
a little message for the person who may open my cello in the years to come
setting up the belly in preperation to glue it on
looking great so it is time to start gluing
only the upper bout and end block left until done
the belly is now glued on and it is just so exciting!
