time to cleanup the blocks, a couple of small planes really do the trick here

getting ready to drill the end pin hole and even though it looks wonky when I hold the ribs it is all straight

now you can see I clamped the drill press to the corner of the bench to do this
|
a nice clean hole ready for fitting up
|
with the extra wood underneath the end block there was absolute minimal chipping out
|
using french curves to mark the area to remove on the upper block
|
here is the pencil line which will give the final shape
|
these two planes wre perfect for finishing the end blocks
|
one set of cello ribs ready to go
