The trusty coping saw for cutting between the upper and lower eyes
after cutting with the coping saw, this part was easy.
using a big artist brush qith sandpaper to round the eye
it did a pretty good job of lower eye
using a file to widen the upper eye before switching to the brush and sandpaper
all the eyes are now done, time to start cutting the f-holes
this scary sharp knife cuts through the wood pretty easily
one f-hole pretty close to being done
both f-holes are cut but the bass side still needs some work
after the f-holes are trimmed and the nicks are put in, they are now finished
again the finished f-holes up close
now with the light reversed the f-holes look pretty close in shape and size
with high arching it is hard for me to blend the wings in well
the f-hole wings look better from the underneath
back into dream time again it is looking like a fat cello!
now we have to wait for the bass bar to be fitted and I can start to put it together
the body is looking clean and really quite nice
the f-hole angle from the side looks acceptable
