using a scraper I put a slight fluting where the lower wings of the f-holes will be

the fluting from a different angle

using a normal 1/4" twist drill for the f-hole eyes

not perfect or square but enough to get me started

the inside of the f-hole eye

now before any more work on the f-holes it is back to hollowing out the front

the front is now between 8 to 10mm thick all over

the two f-hole eyes now from the inside
