here we are, ready to finish of the outer arching
starting to cut the channel
using both the gouge and plane for this, then followed by scrapers
at 32mm the arching is pretty high
apart from a few small chips here and there it is looking ok
purfling is NOT one of my good points, next time it will be better
measuring the stop at 405mm for the inner f-hole cuts
with the cardboard template, a few rulers, verneer calipers and a dividers we mark out the f-holes
the f-holes look quite even though the one on the treble side is a touch further inwards from the edge as this side is wider
from the side they slope downwards
now marking the inner edge at 10mm for the start of the rough graduations
using the drill press to drill depth holes at 8mm
of we go again on the bulk wood removal
this is a lot easier than the back but still hard work
