the joint at the button is pretty sloppy
but hey it looks ok from a foot away
using a scraper to put a small bevel on the bottom of the purfling
using a pencil and dots I keep the purfling in the right spot
all laid out and ready to start gluing it in
after four days on the purfling it is glued in!
the corners are ok but nothing special
next time I will try to add bee stings
none of the corners are real great
the end joint is also pretty bad
as well as the end pin joint
by far the purfling has been the most challenging I have done
after all that work my assistent is worn out!
using a compass I mark the start of the channel
a bit more work on the arching and it is getting better
after the purfling the arching is so much more fun
