The hair dryer helps by warming the wood to keep the glue active longer

you can see the sort of gap I have to close, it is pretty big

after hot gluing all the gaps and re-clamping

lots and lot of clamps, I think I will have to find a better way to glue linings the first time

later in the day with the glue dry it comes time to start leveling the ribs

they are getting down but I will have to remove the glue as it stuffs up the plane blade
