A bag of rubber bands and wooden clothes pegs for the lining clamps

I made a pretty crappy chisel for the cutting the mortices but it blunts really quickly

this is how I cut the end of the linings to keep them square

a new chisel which is better suited, it started as 3.2 mm wide but I ground it down to 1.5mm, perfect!

with the chisel and a sharp knife it was a lot easier to cut the mortices

I took a little bit too much out of this one

now the mortices are cut it is time to bend the linings for the bottom of the ribs

the middle ones are the hardest but with a bit of mosture they bent without too much trouble
