A little tool I have made to allow me to drill to a set thickness

Allen keys are great for use as thickness gauges just measure them first to make sure they are accurate, this one is 10mm with an extra mm added clearance

again another allen key to give me a set distance inside the pegbox line, this one is 5 mm, enough for me to drill with a 6mm drill and have space from the walls

here is the cheese drilling, if you look carefully they are tapered inwards to with lots of room to spare. Power tools and this project scare the hell out of me! It is so easy to lose control with a power tool.

unfortunatly the dents are from the post, they should not be too hard to remove.
