Using a small cheap drill press I am ready for drilling the base holes for the pegs. I am starting with a 5mm drill. Oh make sure that the table and wood is at right angles to the drill.

Up to now the drill is the only power tool that I have used on this project. But using a power tool is a bit frightening as they can make it a lot easier to make a mistake.

OOP's! This is what happens when the holes are not in line and you drill from both sides. It is a good thing cello's have big pegs
